Another successful business trip for PC International organized by the Chamber

They were very pleased with Turkish hospitality. Especially, PC International liked one restaurant in Bursa in which has a museum which is carrying the traces of history from the Ottoman period.

After a successful first business trip in Turkey, PC International made another business goal in the second one and was cooperating successfully despite cultural and business differences.

PC International visited the potential Turkish suppliers with the Chamber for the second time and smoothly avoid the negotiation conflicts that might be arisen from the cultural differences.

PC International approached the Chamber to find suppliers from Turkey producing good quality of PVC, felt and rubber insulation products for air conditioners. After the successful business trip in May to Turkey and becoming a member of the Chamber in August, they decided to visit the Turkish suppliers for the second time. To have an efficient negotiation process and successful business trip, they approached the Chamber to organize the second business trip and company them during the business trip. They visited the companies in Marmara region and their trip lasted for 3 days. The second trip aimed to have further information on samples, order the second samples and negotiate the conditions of their cooperation face-to-face.

During the second trip, the Chamber’s business development specialist Miss Özcan and member of board Mr. Yüregil accompanied Sales Manager Mr. Pavel Jansa, Key Account Manager Mr. Jaroslav Müller, Vice President Keisuke Ono and President Toshiyuki Shiraishi. Different than the first trip, the delegation visited one supplier for the first time. PC International was impressed by the production facilities that the supplier possesses. Another thing that made the delegation impressed was that the supplier produced the samples during the meeting. The meeting was very efficient for PC International – samples were delivered, information on samples are exchanged and the pricing was discussed.

Business negotiations can be a tricky balancing act but PC International avoid all the tricks thanks to the Chamber’s expertise in both business etiquettes and cultures. It was interesting to see a meeting of different cultures and reflect of their different mentality in a negotiation process. For Japanese, details are very important and they were impatient with impatient style in the negotiation of Turkish companies.

The project is not finalized yet. PC International and the Chamber agreed on having the third business trip. So, Chamber is staying in touch with PC International and suppliers for organizing next trip and arranging meetings.
